I might first mention I've never owned a Dodge until I recently purchased this used truck.
The trans. Fluid level is good and it is pink with no smell.
Upon starting and shifting to drive (5-10 seconds after cranking like I've always done in other vehicles) it hesitates for approx. 3-5 seconds then eases into motion.
Otherwise its shifts and runs good.
Is this normal or an indication of a possible attempt at covering up a pre-existing condition? Thank you

Have a trans guy scan for codes first he may know of redoing a valve in valve body to correct this.
