How to replace oil sending unit on 2005 chrysler 300 V6 2.7L engine

The oil sending unit just screws out. Remove the wiring to it first, and then using a ratchet, unscrew it. NOTE: Because of the odd head on it, a special socket is needed. When you purchase the switch, look at it to confirm you have a tool that will work. If you don't, the parts store will most likely have the socket you need.

I'm having trouble locating the sending unit on the engine block the manual says it should be on the left rear side the diagram is not very helpful
