Where is the oil pressure switch.I'm going to replace mine.

Oil pressure sensor is on right front of engine or lower right front of engine. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Engine Performance problem
2006 Chrysler 300 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am installing an after market oil pressure gage.I need to know exactly where on my 3.5 litre engine are the locations of the oil pressure ports so I can choose the most convienent one to install the sending unit.
Your giving me wrong info. My engine is the 3.5 litre not 2.7. Let me know where I can tap into to place my oil pressure sending unit. If there is more than one location I want to know that to so I can have more options. Rob O.

Im afraid you guys are getting things mixed up, so I will start again. My car is a 2006 Chrysler 300 with a 3.5 litre engine. What I need to know is where are all of the oil press ports located on this engine? I want to tap into one to install an after market oil press gage. I would rather not use the oil pressure swiitch port unless that is recomended. I dont want to mistakenly pull a water plug. Rob O.

When pluged in info used Chry 300 which only comes with 2.7 that year a 300,300C,300 Limited,300SRT-8 and 300 Touring where produced.
You have a 300 Limited switch is # 1 above oil filter.

That is only port to oil galley need and adapter to T off and add pressure guage and keep sensor .

My car is 5.7L and V8. Recently the oil pressure sensor(switch) is bad. The old part number is 56044777AA, and it has two connections. But it is said to be superseded by 5149062AA, which has three connections. I was wondering are they actually interchangeable? Could I use the new one to fix my car? Thank you for your help!

If there are only two wires then it should have two wires. I would recheck your part number they may be looking up wrong engine on list.

If you go to an auto parts store or the dealer I am sure they will know what is different there are no TSB's talking about a switch change which there would be if this were the case. Try a dealer I am sure they will have something on this. I have no idea how the hook up is on the three way switch so cannot advise how to hook it up.

I just looked on the wiring chart and the oil pressure sensor is a three wire connector. However, the oil temperature sensor is a two way wire, you are looking for the wrong one or have told the counter person the wrong sensor.

The oil sending unit just screws out. Remove the wiring to it first, and then using a ratchet, unscrew it. Note: Because of the odd head on it, a special socket is needed. When you purchase the switch, look at it to confirm you have a tool that will work. If you don't, the parts store will most likely have the socket you need.

I'm having trouble locating the sending unit on the engine block the manual says it should be on the left rear side. The diagram is not very helpful.
