2005 Chevrolet Cobalt data connector

Data connector under dash has only 1 green wire on #1 port none on #2, which I thought was reader port. Scan tool turns on but does not find car. Error, error shows on meter.I borrowed my friends and does same thing. Had engine lite on and could not find codes. My scan tool reads my escape fine.

Check the aux power outlet fuses and other fuses because there is one fuse that supplies power to the DLC (data link connector). Try this and get back to me.
