Car was running roughly, sputtering, no power on acceleration so replaced the fuel filter and reinstalled the fuel pump fuses. Tried to start car but won't turn over and engage and need to know why. Engine tries to turn over but ends up losing power and won't even turn over starter. Just clicks and lights dim. Any assistance you could provide would be most helpful.

Sounds first like your battery is dead, I would put it back on a charge and see if it starts. Double check the fuse to make sure it's in all the way. Let's try this and go from there.

Also turn your ignition to run without starting it. You should hear a light whine, this is your fuel pump, if you don't hear anything then there is no power going to your fuel pump. This is the pump priming the fuel lines.
