First thing to do when going through alternators is check the battery. The truck draws from the battery and then the alternator puts it back. If the battery is just strong enough to start the truck but relies to heavily on the alternator causing early failure. If its ok then make sure that all the cables are clean and shiny especially the parts that contact the battery posts. Then make sure the other ends of those cables are clean and tight as well

Don't take that battery at face value. They go bad all the time regardless of age. Have it load tested. Then you can have it replaced free under the warranty if it is bad. If not we'll go from there

Ok now that we know that we need to see whats causing the alternator to work too hard. Either its got too much load on it or theres a wire or electrical device that's drawing too many amps. Have you noticed any hot or unusually warm wires anywhere? Of have you smelled a pungent burning smell lately? You could even have a loose ground, usually the big one that goes from the frame to the motor will cause problems like this
