I am not sure exactly if my disco 04 has a problem?
I have driven on the beach several times with no problems, but one day I tried some deep sand and got my self stuck. I noticed that my wheels would not spin (slip) even when I pressed the gas pedal way down. I also noticed that my rpm just rised around the middle of the scale. I released the gas pedal and engaged the differential lock noticing the warning light that confirmed it, but still my wheels would not spin.
I could feel a very very little motion in both cases and by continuing the effort I finally got my disco to move very slowly to near by sand tracks and then I was able to catch speed to get out of there. When I got on the pavement, I could feel all the disco power that comes with it, no problem!
Was there something preventing my wheels from slipping?
If yes, can I disable that?

I appreciate any input.

Thanks
