Single overhead cam, has new fuel pump, cleaned iac and throttle body still idles rough and stumbles at acceleration, has fresh gas. Thanks d.M.

When you cleared the codes did you reset the k a m? Remove - battery cable for a few. Minutes Fords dont know they are fixed until this is done.

This is a technical service bulletin from Ford, I think it covers your problem for hard start and rough idle, For the battery, are the interior lights staying on? If so try this fix: Try this cure, buy a can of brakekleen and a can of spray white lithium grease, spray the latch area, thats the claw in the door where it closes, spray liberally with brakleen, open and close the door 5-6 times, repeat, then spray with the white lube, open and close the door 5-6 times. Reapeat on all doors.

Some 2004 Taurus/Sable vehicles equipped with 3.0L 2-Valve engine (gas and FFV) may exhibit the
following conditions: ? Hard start or no start with engine cold.
? P0300 misfire DTC.
? Slight engine idle surging in 15 second intervals with transmission oil temperatures below 100
F (38 C), shift lever in park, and foot off brake.
