Battery cable broke

2003 camary battery cable broke and died and could not put in nuetral to push it out of trafic is it normal?

Yes, with no voltage, the shift interlock wont work(safety feature). Replace batt. cable.

Thanks I did replace the cable. was Stalled in the traffic. got jump and quickly put in nuetral to push out of traffic.
