It seems as though the a/c system is working correctly however I suspect that the doors that direct air to the vents are stuck on the heater core side instead of the a/c evap coer side. If this is possible to occur, what must I do to repair it?

This one uses a cable for that. The cable may be off or broken.

So before I tear into it and take the whole dash apart, can anyone tell me if this year make and medel has a door actuator or is manually controlled via cable please? It has the 1.8L and has manual windows and door locks.

Wrenchtech, thanks.I really appreciate it. I was just confused as to which one I have because on another forum a tech said it was electronically actuated via a motor. Mine has manual door locks and windows so it makes sence that it also has manual a/c controls.

That car has a problem with a temperature door. You have a problem with mode doors. Different parts.

You don't have a temp door problem. You have a mode door problem. It controls air direction, not temperature.

Oh. Ok, got it. Well It's fixed! Turns out that the cable from the control panel was detached because what it mounts to broke somehow. I plastic wedded it all back together and re attached the cable! Got a/c now. And I live in Vegas

Thanks. Me too! I also zip tied the cable to a near by harness for added security.
