I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. I was running down the interstate trying to get to a gas station. Guess what? I ran out of gas. Anyway, my brother brought me a few gallons and after putting it in, it wouldn't start. So I figured I burnt up my fuel pump by running it so low. After I had it towed home, I had my brother turn the car on and off and I listened directly at the fuel pump. I didn't hear anything. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I then checked power going to the pump at the pump it there was power. Now it has been a few years, but shouldn't there be 12v that comes on for a few seconds for the "prime" and then it shuts off and you should have a constant 12v? So I replaced the fuel pump and to no avail, car didn't start. I have tried to find the location of the Fuel pump relay, but I cannot find it? So Just to rule it out I checked for spark and I have no spark? Any ideas of things I can try next?
