About once a week for the past 6 weeks the van just won't start. It has connection to the battery, it turns over, all lights come on, but it just won't make the connection to start. After trying 6 or seven time to start it, it eventually starts. It is as if it isn't getting gas, like a pump problem. We don't smell any gas and we are not burning gas any faster than we normally do.

I just had my ignition switch replaced and got a new key with it. I put the key in and turn it and nothing happens, but the dash comes on and radio work too. What can the problem be?

Because the ignition switch was changed the security system probably is cause. You will need to go to a mechanic so he can reprogram it to start and run.

I have a 2003 honda odyssey, sometimes after putting in the key the car won't start it just keeps on humming, after removing the key and reinserting it and a couple of tries it starts. Sometimes it just starts fine.
What could be the problem?

Doesn't sound like an engine problem more like a relay or solenoid on starter. If the engine starts thenit would kick the starter off and if either of the two previous parts wer doing what I think then it wouldn't hum but wouldn't have an easy time to keep the engine running.

Only diagnostics test woul tell you what is wrong.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing and have you checked for trouble codes?
Are you able to keep the engine running with slight throttle pressure?
Can it be restarted each time it stalls?

Non starting can be due to various reasons so you start with the basics like checking to see what is missing and find out if any trouble codes are present.
