2003 dodge ram 5.7 hemi on second rear end it's making clicking sound under load popped pan oil discolored alittli but gears look fine?

Is diff 9 1/4? have U-joints been checked? going to remove and check side bearings?

yes 9 1/4 355 u joint was replaced about 7 mounths ago truck runs fine my first rear that blew was making this sound all the time it blew my driveshaft out and a hole about the size of a fist out the front of the axle
