Where is the drain plug on the radiator for changing antifreeze? 2003 Chevy silverado 2500 HD 6.6 turbo, 1900mi, 16716hrs.
Truck over heats when pulling my boat in the mountains, Anchorage AK. I intend to replace the thermostat, and replace the original orange antifreeze.

Is it likely that I need to replace transmission fluid and filters? It often sounds like it is in a higher noise (the rpms don't seem high enough for the sounds comming out.

Would a programmer module help?

If unable to locate the drain plug/cockpit-disconnect the bottom hose. Might consider using a bigger tranny cooler-Good Luck on the Turnagain Arm or up Denali-Holler if you need more help
