My son drove my van last night to a friends house He called me and told me the van was "locked up" and wouldn't start. Locked up? Yea, the key won't turn, the steering wheel won't turn, the gear shift won't move.
I had him make sure the theft device key was firmly in place. I asked if the front wheels were straight and he said yes.
Just before he took the van, he was in our driveway and he turned off the car without putting it into park. He then put it into park. The dome lights didn't come on at that point.
About three weeks ago I had the upper and lower intake manifold gasket replaced as well as a small hose in the manifold due to a antifreeze bleed out.
I do have electrical issues with the locks. I have to open the passenger front door from the inside because it will not always unlock, even with my pushing the button from the inside, and now my passenger side sliding door doesn't unlock at all. Can't get the lock to come up no matter what I try. Also, if open back hatch, the door ajar light stays on, but only sometimes, and sometimes it seems to reset itself.
That is all that I can think of in terms of what is wrong and what has been fixed and other issues recently discovered.
thanks for your advice.
