I have a 2002 Ford Taurus. The belt broke and I was told the AC cutch seized and I would have to replace the AC as well as the belt in order to run. Is it possible to bypass the AC with a shorter belt, while I look for another car? Is this feasible? Possibe? If so, what size would I need? I don't want to put more money into this one.

I looks like you could in theory but you have to look closely at the car to see if anything would be in the way of the belt if it went straight from the crank to the power steering pump.

That's something that you would have to determine yourself. The car wasn't produced without air so there is no application.
