Ford ranger clutch pedal has too much play. The clutch does not disengage until the pedal is nearly at the floor. Is there an adjustment for this? I looked into the inspection port and there is 1/2 inch of movement when the pedal is pushed. Does the clutch need replaced soon?

MIGHT NEED TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL IN YOUR CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER

IF IT'S LOW---LOOK FOR EXTERNAL LEAKS

THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER/ SLAVE MAY NEED TO BE "BLED"

EITHER COMPONENT MAY BE LEAKING INTERNALLY, ---MEANING---, NO LOSS OF FLUID, BUT THE FLUID IS SLIPPING BY THE "O" RINGS, CUP, OR PISTON, INSTEAD OF BEING "PUSHED" AS IT SHOULD BE
