I have a dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4. 4.7l v8. The check gauges light came on and my battery guage went off. Took it to the garage. Checked alternator, battery and wiring. Said it was the ecm. Replaced ecm and on the way home it did the same thing. What do you think?

Do you
have the same problem?

Finish the question please. Do you mean the volt gauge went all the way down to the left? If you suspect a charging system problem, use an inexpensive digital voltmeter to measure battery voltage while the engine is running, and measure the voltages on the two small nuts on the back of the alternator, again, while the engine is running.

The web site was down for a few days; sorry. If you solved this already, what did you find?
