I have a 02 suburban Z71, problem is on with the radio. The factory radio would not work correctly. It didn't keep time or work at all most of the time. If it did work it might only work a few minutes or seconds and it would shut off again. So I replaced radio with aftermarket one. All works for the most part, except the new radio will not always come on. Usually happens when its cold outside and car has sat for awhile. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this.

As far as the aftermarket radio, I don't know what I am dealing with. What I would recommend is this. If you ran power from the original power source, try running it directly to a circuit that is constantly hot. Make sure there is an inline fuse to the radio to protect it.
