What does a faulty fuse look like? I know a blown fuse will not be connected inside the fuse but not sure what a faulty one looks like. I have pulled out fuses to check to see if they were blown because some things are my car aren't working correctly and when I pulled them out the prongs are discoloured (rainbow markings) as if they had gotten very hot. Does that mean there is something wrong with the fuse, and if so can a faulty fuse cause electrical issues with the component that they are intended for?
