I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Spider GT with a 3.0. We had the timing belt replaced it has about 8k miles on it. We used a Gates timing belt kit that came with two pulleys. We replaced the Water pump and the two outside drive belts. When we picked it up it had a slite buzzing sound from the timing belt cover area. So we took it back and they tore it back down and checked it and could not find anything wrong. Then after a day of driving a rattling sound started in the same area. WE took it back to the shop and at first he could not findanything, but then he put it all back together with the timing belt coves off. Then found when he would put pressure onto the tensioner the sound would go away. So we replaced the tensioner. When we picked it up it was quite. Anfter another day of driving it the buzzing/rattling sound is back. Any suggestions what to look for? Thanks ray tillotson
