BAD ALTERNATOR, BELT OR AC NEEDS FILLED>? OR SOMETHING ELSE

I own a 2001 mercury sable. And there is no noticable performane problems in rpms or driving, recently when I idle my car I hear a sound like rubbing metal, (exactly like bad breakpads), like liquid coming from somewhere by alternator, belts. The sound goes away when I drive. T

It could be a loose/worn belt. Check the belt tension and condition for a start.
