The explorer has an intermittent issue where the truck will crank. Sputter and then wont crank unless you press the gas pedal in and hold it. The car will cut off again if the rpm's dip below 500. When it does cut off the battery light does come on. I think the lights and radio work when the car is switched on. This happened 3 times in the last 5 months but typically last only a day or so. Could this be an alternator problem or something else?
