2000 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA
My jetta is making an awful loud noise when started up n put in gear. What could it be? The noise can be described as rattling but extremely loud.

Can you tell aprox where the noise is comming from? Have you checked the exhaust system for loose heat shields, loose internals in the converter, resinator, muffler?
