The other day my husband was driving the car and all of a sudden it died. When he tried to start the car there were only clicks. He had the car towed to the nearest auto shop- where the mechanic said the car was basically ruined. He said the timing belt was broken, and that there was a huge oil leak and the engine sounded bad. He said our bet bet would be to sell it for scrap as parts for the car are very expensive and its an older car. Should we take his advice and trash the car- or work to save it?
