I own a 2000 GMC Sonoma whose brake lights won't turn off even when the car is turned off. Is there a faulty brake switch that needs to be changed and if so where can I find the location of this switch?

Found it and changed the switch. But it's still on. I noticed that once I removed the old switch, the lights were still on but thought it would reset itself when I install the new one. Wrong!
