I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy LS 4wd. It has a severe hesitation problem.I took it to a repair shop in early March. They had it there for over 2 months and could not figure out the problem. I picked it up yesterday and had no problems for first 70 miles or so, then I noticed, just like before, the 1st symptom is it starts to shift late and then begins to drastically cut out. If I quickly let up on the gas pedal it doesn't stall right out and I can go a little further, and then it cuts out again and gets worse and worse. I just barely made it back to my driveway today. Before I took the truck the mechanic said all systems he checked were showing normal, but that it had intermittently done the same thing to him. He said if it happened again it may need a PCM, which he said would cost over $1000 & said if so he suggested dumping the truck. I have put a fortune into this truck & can't afford a new truck. I have a junk 1998 Blazer I could use parts from if applicable. I would very much appreciate any ideas you might have on what I could try to fix this problem.
