What would cause my A/C to only blow out of the top vents even when its on other settings? It blows cold air but you cant control what vents it comes out. It is a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L. I have been told it could be a Mode Actuator or a Blend Door Actuator. Any information to help me fix this would be greatly appreciated! I'm a poor college student with no money to take it to a shop and I'm dying in this Texas 108* heat!

It would be the mode doors that you are concerned with. This one uses an electric actuator to control mode doors. It's located on the left side of the HVAC housing and can be accessed under the dash from the driver's side. Check to see if any of the linkage is jammed or anything like that.
