O2 sensor

I own a 2000 chevy impala and bought bought a universal o2 sensor I pulled out the wires in the plug and didnt mark them so I dont know which wire is what.

There is a purple, black, tan, pink

which are the heaters, ground and signal?

There will be an instruction sheet packaged with the sensor. T will tell you what colors on the sensor side have to match with which colors on the harness side.

I dont have that, now what? I know the colors on the sensor itself White: heaters C, D
Grey: ground A
Black: signal B

You need the manufacturer's color codes from the sensor.

If I may add, why dont you just get the correct one or oem from a parts store that is a direct fit? Universal o2 sensors are cheap imitations and do not perform as well as the oem.
