Your question, "1999 Plymouth Voyager Engine is backfiring through manifold does
notseem to be running on all cylinders its a 6 cylinder 3.3 L it also seems
flooding. Or rich can not drive only starts with the gas pedal floor heres what
happened drove van was great, parked for 2hrs. Then started up. Then right. Was
missfiring. Shooting out black smoke. Took shop who changed plugs and told me
they do know whats wrong, I did coil test that fine. Put cam sensor in too
. Still no codes?" Has a new response.
you told me do compression test. A mechanic friend of mine did a leak down test, all of the cylinders were good, except one had a did have a 30% leak but he said it would still be with in range.. I allso found that by removing the map sensor the engine stopped flooding. Still runs real rough but does not misfire in the intake manifold, and stall out. My Question is there anything else that would make the map sensor tell the EMC to dump extra gas in the cylinders and why would the map sensor do that? Befor I replace the Map sensor I want to make sure its the problem
