As you can see in the pic you remove the coolant bottle for more room to work. You have to obtain a pulley removal tool to take pulley off pump. Then you undo hose connections. Then you take out bolts holding pump on.

And based on what you've said about pump, I dont know if changing it is guarantee of fixing the problem. Worth a try though.
