WHY WONT MY NISSAN MAXIMA STAY STARTED, AND WHY DOES IT MAKE A LOUD SQUEKING SOUND

I started the car then a loud hissing noise came from the left side of the engine near my belt. I just replaced a new altenator. And my air stopped working a couple days before the hissing sound got real bad.

Recheck the alternator and belt adjustments.
Check the crank pulley for a bad harmonic damper.
Check the A/C compressor for seizure.
