SHORTED THE ALTERNATOR?

1999 Nissan 2.4 liter I SHORTED THE ALTERNATOR OUT BY NOT TAKEN THE BATTIER A LOOSE SINCE THIS HAPPEN MY IDLING OF THE ENGINE GOES UP AND DOWN WANT STAY STABLE DO YOU THINK THAT I DAMAGE THE EMC AS WELL?

Shorted alternator up against the exhaust manifold replace it with new one but my idling went haywire like up and down I've try most of the sensor nothing work what I would like to know is it possible that I damage the ECM?
