I have a 1999 Galant 2.4 litre with auto tranny that was rebuilt 2 yrs ago. While driving in taffic about 30 mph and started to accelerate, the tranny just like slipped out of gear. Felt like a manual trans when the gear slips out and clunks and the engine revs up. The car coasted to a stop and no gears either forward or reverse. No clinking noises at all from tranny, just no gears.
Does that sound like the transmission or torque converter?
