On the front of the engine, which is transverse, so the front is actually at the passenger side of the car. It's under the timing chain cover.

Is it easy to fix and how much do those kind of repairs cost?

Not to bad if you have done one or two, but you do need the tools to remove the harmonic balance(crank pulley). I do recommend a manual before you start, it has the how to and tighten sequences and specs.

BTW, what needs to be done? Timing chains on yours generally last a long time...ticking can be just a belt pulley.
