Timing belt marks diagram

I have recently changed the timing belt on my Ranger. The camshaft gear had a diamond and a triangle that lined up, the gear (I believe is an emissions pump) had a triangle that lined up, But the crankshaft gear only had a dot on it and no dots to line up. So I found top-dead-center on a compression stroke and the dot on the crankshaft lined up with a notch. I assume this is correct timing. After puting everything back on the truck started right up. But, it had a very high idle, I drove it down the road and back and put a timing light on it, the timing then kicked down to a low idle but was not the correct idle. The timing light showed the mark on the Harmonic balancer bounce from 30 deg. And up. The truck is supposed to be timed at 10 deg. What could be causing this problem? How can I fix it if the truck doenst have adjustable timing? Thank You

The timing belt on my truck and was repaired the mechanic is telling me that after I drive it approx 150 to 200 miles that I need to bring it back for adjustments. I have had the timiing belt serviced before and have never had this request. Just curious if this is a valid service.

I am sure we have lined the appropiate marks as per manual and the truck doesn't even fire, am I missing something? Thank you my email is jamesdean054@gmail. Com

Hello just had timing belt replaced 2 weeks ago. Seemed to be ok now it bucks a little and stalles once in a while. Is it the timinf or mabey fuel filter plese help dont want my wife to break down also ck. Engine ligh comes on and off every so often im disabled with a brain injury I cant donate at this time

Did not stall before but ck engine light wood go on and off for a while. Always got a legal sticker passed everything but engine light was always off not sure what to do thank u have not gotten it scanned for codes.
