Hello, where is the Fuel Pressure Regulator on my model explorer? It has the 4.0 L V6 OHV engine. I was told it was on the fuel pump assembly but I have been told other things. Could someone tell me for sure?

On the fuel rail.

Why are you replacing it? Not a very common issue at all.

The regulator actually is not working properly. It starts but it is a little rough on cold starts. The cranking amps of the battery is great.

How did you determine the regulator is bad? What is the pressure key on engine off?

That is most likely the pump. There is a check valve in the pump that is common for failure. Did you pinch off the lines to confirm?
