I had a timing chain or timing belt replaced on the 1999 Chevy s-10 (4 cylinder) and had only 640 miles of driving since the repair. The engine suddenly started making a vivid noise (sounded like it blew a rod) and the engine compression was very low and the check gages light came on and I noticed that the oil pressure gage was practically at 0 (zero). I parked it after a few blocks driving at a very slow speed, since I was on my way to work. I checked the oil dipstick and there was no oil level showing on it. I called the repair place to tell them what I found. I was wanting to know if you have an idea what might have happened and where the oil could have gone (I had the oil changed when the timing/belt replaced).

Do you
have the same problem?
