My car stopped dead in its tracks four days ago and had to be towed to national auto repairer. When I contacted them to find out what had happened they told me the pipe that takes the coolant to the motor had melted (?)/ Cracked and that it is made from plastic. They quoted $1000 plus to repair it, said it may need extra work and still would not guarantee that it would run.

As I am an aged pensioner I am in a real quandry. Over to you with thanks,

Laurel

PS I indicated that it is a '2 series' but I am not sure about that. I know that it is a 2.2 GL if that helps.
