Vehicle blew head gasket. Did head gaskets, timing belt, 20 hrs it took. Go to start, engine cranks, has good compression, has spark. Gets right on the verge of starting. Then smells like it floods. If I remove fuel pump fuse @ this time and crank again after it clears fuel it will start for a second and stall. No codes in computer. Any ideas?

Check the cam sensors and fuel injectors.
