There was an oil leak between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders. Over Christmas a neighbor was finding the leak and poured hundreds of gallons of hot water into the engine. The smoke was coming out from the hole; now it comes out all around the entire engine, around the crack that goes all around it. The car was driving for a few minutes and then stopping; it ran out of compression. Now it sits for 3 days and then gets compression and will start. It did have compression in all but one of the cylinders, but now it has compression in only the last cylinder. Can it be fixed with a gasket put where the crack is that is pouring out smoke when the compression builds up and a plug between the two cylinders where the hole is?
