I had new radiator fitted to my 98 freelander and after I picked it up it kept overheating. I took it back and it was bled of air but still kepy overheating. I have taken it to another mechanic and he has checked thermostat which is ok and have now been told that I need o new power steering pump as this drives the water pump aswell. Is this right? I dont understand how needing a new power steering pump will stop the car from overheating? Please help

Have a compression test of the cylinders carried out. The power steering will not make the vehcle overheat unless it is jammed up and not letting the belt turn?
