I have a honda civic 1998 and I changed two solinoids the one on top of tranny and underneath it it still has a problem shifting, like when it's on D I have to shift like a standard trans. I really wanna fix the problem but I don't know how to I'm not a mechanic but I can learn and I want to know also why is it blowing out smoke from the exhaust (color) dark black and it burns your eyes and it's hard to breath when some one is behind me pls help me

Scan for codes, check fuelpressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. Have a trans guy look at trans as it may be an internal problem
