I own a 1998 Chevy 1500 Silverado pick up and I replaced the break power booster and the break light swtch and now the break lights won't go off. Everythig is connected properly (I even had 2 other mechanics look at it to verify that everything is in properly) but the piston coming out of the power booster is approximately 1/18" too long and is putting pressure on the switch to activate it. It does not appear to have any adjustment setting that you can set. Did I get a faulty power booster or is there something that I am missing?

Is the brake rod adjustable? Maybe you can use shims between the booster and mounting surface to take up that 1/8 inch? I'd have to look at it.
