1998 Chevrolet S-10 wireing problem

My wireing harness melted on manifold I repaired all the wires that melted the ign a fuse 40 amp blew when the wires melted after I fixed wires and replaced fuse truck tried to start with key out I pulled ign fuse out then turned key on replaced fuse it started but starter kept starting so pulled fuse starter stopped and truck died I have power flowing to ign fuse a and ign fuse b all the time even when key is off is it possible the ignition under sterring column is bad now or what else could it be?

You still have shorted wires somewhere.
