1998 Chevy Prizm 160,000, oil leak. I have a somewhat fast dripping leak, replaced oil pan gasket, then used sealant - no go. Since I could see it was overtightened I replaced the pan - no go. Leak is near flyweel so I was told it was the rear main seal. Have just put in new seal but it is a pressure fit only I don't see how it could hold back much pressure so I am worried that something else may be causing the leak but don't know what.
My question is - Is there something else I could be missing or need to look at now that I have eng. And tranny out?

If seal is installed correctly it will hold back oil unless there is worn crank bearings
