Hello the week I had my check engine light come on. I put a odb reader to the car and found code p0401 witch turned out to be the egr exhaust gas recirculation system. I have been told that there are 3 most common parts that way go bad 1 the egr valve 2 actuator solenoid 3 the dpfe sensor differential pressure feedback sensor. My question is if I have multiple parts how can I figure out the one that is faulty. If not how can I go about fixing the issue with out spending to much cash on parts the don't need to be replaced? Thanks for your time.

Each part can be tested individually.
