Hi. I was driving and heard a loud grinding noise, made it home and came to find out that the wheel where the power steering belt is on came loose, I took the drivers side tyer off and put the wheel with the belt back on to a bolt that pushes through with a groove fitting and it seems as if there's a nut that keeps it in place, I've tried size 17 normal nuts but the thread is flat on that bolt. So what I would like to know is what kind of nut is that and will everything be fine if the nut is just replaced like that? Also what is the name of that nut thanks

It will be a metric thread, the size and pitch I could not say with out seeing it, have you tried getting on from a wrecker?
