How do you take down the headliner of my 2-door 1997 Grand Prix GTP safely without breaking anything? I'm new to this whole mechanic thing, I'm trying to be independent, and I wasn't taught a whole lot about cars growing up, even though my dad was a car mechanic brainiac.

You have to pull all of the plastic pieces that go up to the headliner. As well as any hooks or handles and lights. They usually unscrew. Then you can pull the headliner down. However headleiners are usually installed in the car BEORE the windshield is put in. Soyou may not be able to take it out if that is what you are trying to do.
