Lifter are knockin in the motor how much will it cost to fix it, an how much will it cost to pay a mechanic to replace a heater core
have the same problem?

8.8 hours and about $100 for the core. The lifters may be difficult to guess at, but the book says 4.4 hours and $21.82 each for the lifters.
