I was under vehicle inspecting and heard an electrical shrill sound coming from the side pan where the valve body resides. What could this be and could it be the reason my 1-2 shift especially seems to be a be rough and delayed. I personally think that it is an electrical short inside. Please forward your professional knowledge

It could be a solenoid but my question is why? Should not be doing that. The rough shift usually occurs from a broken accumulator spring not from a solenoid.

I think you need to have someone look at it from a trans shop to verify the issue and give you a bid. Whatever it is, it is beyond your capabilities unless you are a trans tech.
